The bunker appears to never have been equipped with the communications and technical installations required to make it operational.  And it has not been subjected to denial measures e.g. demolition in the Kampfraum, which was the standard procedure, when these facilities had to be abandoned.  It is thus conceivable that the GefStd was located in the Domaine du Montcel.  The area was subject to an air attack on 24 August 1944, where the estate was hit and suffered from a catastrophic fire.  It was rebuilt after the war in almost original shape.

At the end of July the flying units subordinate to 5 JD were transferred to other commands.  First the day- and then the night-fighters.  The staff performed an orderly withdrawal to an unknown location in Namur in the period 5 - 20 AUG 1944, and the Gef.Std. was completely evacuated on 21 AUG 1944.
